Police arrest accused, recovers kidnapped girl within 12 hrs | KNO

Srinagar, July 25 (KNO) : The district Police Srinagar on Thursday claimed to have recovered a girl and also arrested the accused who had kidnapped her.  “Police Station Kothibagh received a complaint that a girl has been kidnapped,” police said in a statement issued to KNO, adding that the complainant stated that his daughter has been kidnapped by one Adil Ahmad Langoo, son of Ab Rehman of Habakadal Srinagar. Acting swiftly on the complaint, Srinagar Police recovered the kidnapped girl and also arrested the accused within 12 hours. “After all legal formalities the girl was handed over to her legal heirs,” police said. Meanwhile, police appealed community members to cooperate with police in curbing social crimes in their neighbourhood. “Community members can share information pertaining to social crimes with police. We reassure the community members that our efforts in curbing social crimes shall continue,” police said.(KNO)
