Two Co-conspirators of LeT apprehended in Shopian, Ak-47 recovered | KNO

Shopian, Mar 21 (KNO): Shopian Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested two militant associates from the district and recovered ammunition from their possession. An official told wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that through reliable sources, Shopian police received inputs about a youth from Chotipora Sedow is motivating youth of Imamsahib and it's adjacent areas to join LeT, a militant outfit. He said that police came to know that Irfan Ahmad Kuttey, son of Gulshan Ahmad Kuttey of Chotipora Sedow had motivated Aadil Bashir Lone, son of Bashir Ahmad Lone of Aaloora Shopian to join LeT. Accordingly, Shopian Police along with 62 RR raided the suspected spots and apprehended both of them, official added. On questioning, it came to fore that duo has been working as Co-conspirators of LeT and Irfan has worked as an OGW of slain militant Zubair Turray, official added. Irfan further said that he was introduced to Turray by Shahid Islam resident of Bonbazar Shopian who is presently detained under PSA, official said, adding that he further revealed that he was in touch with Pakistani militants through Telegram and other social media apps. During interrogation, Ifran Kuttay disclosed that an Ak-47 has been kept in his cow shed and accordingly on raid, the weapon was recovered by Shopian police along with 62 RR, official added. He further said that a case under FIR number 07 of 2020 under sections 18, 39 ULAO Act was registered in Police Station Imamsahib and further investigation is going on—(KNO)
