J&K reports third Covid death in a day as Cancer patient from Anantnag succumbs | KNO

Srinagar, May 18 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday reported third Covid death in a day as a 75-year-old Cancer patient woman breathed her last at Chest Diseases hospital this evening, health officials said. Nodal officer for Covid-19 at GMC, Dr Saleem Khan said that a woman aged 75-years, who had Thyroid cancer, last stage, and was tested positive for Covid, succumbed at CD hospital this evening. “She was shifted to CD hospital from SMHS after testing positive for the virus,” Dr Khan told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO). This is the 4th Covid death in Kashmir since yesterday and third in a row in single day. Earlier in the day, three Covid deaths were reported in Kashmir that include a 65-year-old man from Kulgam and a 75-year-old man from Anantnag—(KNO)
