Srinagar, May 23 (KNO): Former Chief Minister and National Conference vice-President Omar Abdullah on Sunday lashed out at the last Governor of the erstwhile State of J&K, Satya Pal Malik, saying “he never tires of lying”. Hours after Malik claimed that Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti boycotted civic polls due to pressure from Pakistan, the NC leader came down heavily on him. Omar went to extent of saying he is “ only naam ka satya not kaam ka”, reminding how he lied to the people before August 5."Only naam ka satya not kaam ka. He never tires of lying. Lied to people of J&K before 5th August & lying now. Hiding behind walls of Raj Bhavan protected from defamation suits so feels emboldened to shoot his mouth off. Let him say all this when he is no longer governor & see”, Omar tweeted. Before BJP-led Central government abrogated Article 370 and bifurcated J&K into two Union Territories, Malik, who was then Governor of J&K, had repeatedly said that there was no threat to special status of J&K—(KNO)
