Srinagar, May 25 (KNO): Former minister and National Conference leader Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi on Sunday said silence of all the political parties on abrogation of the Article 370 is injustice with the people of Jammu & Kashmir. In an exclusive chat with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Ruhullah, the three-time MLA from Central Kashmir’s Budgam Assembly segment, said all the political parties are silent on abrogation of the Article 370. “It is not only National Conference which is silent. Every other political party is silent. Honestly speaking, unfortunately the entire society is silent after August 5. This silence is proving counter-productive,” he said. The powerful Shia leader said he will choose separate path if National Conference will compromise on the special status of J&K. “Of course, I will (choose separate path). Why should we debate something which has not happened? Hope they will not do it,” he said. He said the BJP is implementing every bit of their ideology in Kashmir during the past seven to eight months. “The other side is doing whatever they want to do. They are doing it continuously. They are taking it to logical conclusion as Ram Madhav claimed,” he said, adding that silence of political parties would be injustice with the people of Jammu & Kashmir. He said every signatory of Gupkar declaration should stand by it. To a question about Apni Party’s stand, he said it will be wastage of comment and time to speak on their agenda. “They are out to sell New Delhi’s post August 5 narrative in Kashmir,” he said—(KNO)
