JK Govt exempts defense, central armed forces from necessary RTPCR testing, admin quarantine | KNO

Srinagar, June 01 (KNO): The authorities in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday exempted the defense and central armed forces returning to their duties from compulsory RTPCR testing and administrative quarantine. In an order issued by the government of Jammu and Kashmir exempted the defense and central armed forces from compulsory testing and administrative quarantine stating that the said personnel shall be allowed to proceed to the institutional quarantine of their respective Units/Formations for necessary quarantine as per their internal procedures. The order, copy of which lies with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), states that the government of Jammu & Kashmir had laid down the protocol for 100 per cent RTPCR testing of all incoming passengers by train/ air/road to Jammu and Kashmir and quarantine procedures to be followed thereof. "The said protocol also specifies certain categories of passengers to be exempted from compulsory administrative quarantine." The order stated that the personnel of Defense and Central Armed Police Forces returning to duty are exempted from compulsory 100% RTPCR testing and administrative! institutional quarantine in any facility authorised by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir. "The said personnel shall be allowed to proceed to the institutional quarantine of their respective Units/Formations for necessary quarantine as per their internal procedures."—(KNO)
