Shopian, June 02 (KNO): A four-year-old boy drowned to death into a Nallah Tongri due to flash floods, triggered by heavy rains in Dangam area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday afternoon. Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the deceased identified as Hazim Rafeeq Malik, 4, son of Rafeeq Ahmad Malik of Dangam slipped into the Nallah. Soon after the incident, locals and police rushed to the spot and immediately launched rescue operation. After hectic efforts, the locals and police retrieved the body of the deceased from the nallah, officials said. A police officer also confirmed the death of the minor due to drowning— (KNO)
