Militants attack forces party in Bijbehara, CRPF man, minor boy killed | KNO

Anantnag, June 26 (KNO): Suspected militants on Friday attacked security forces in Bijbehara area of South Kashmir's Anantnag district in which one CRPF man and a minor boy were killed. An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that militants opened fire on 90 BN CRPF near Padshahi Bagh Bijbehara in which one CRPF man and a minor boy was injured. He said that injured persons were shifted to SDH Bijbehara for treatment where CRPF man  succumbed to injuries and the minor boy also breathed his last after doctors tried their best to save him. CRPF’s spokesman for operations, Junaid Khan confirmed to KNO that an attack took place at Bijbehera on the security forces. He, however, didn’t confirm the death of a CRPF man saying that “we are ascertaining whether there is any causality.” However, hospital sources confirmed to KNO that a CRPF man and a minor boy succumbed to their injuries at the SDH Bibehara. The slain boy has been identified as Naheen of Yaripora, Kulgam and the CRPF man has been identified as Samal Kumar.Block Medical Officer (BMO) SDH Bijbehara Dr Muhammad Iqbal confirmed to KNO that a CRPF man and a minor boy succumbed at the hospital. Police sources said that the  area has been condoned off to nab the attackers—(KNO)
