Anantnag encounter: Three militants killed, Search on | KNO

Anantnag, June 29 (KNO):Three militants have been killed in an encounter that broke out between militants and government forces in Khulchohar Runipora area Shangus belt of South kashmir's Anantnag district on Monday morning. An official told News agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that three militants have been killed in an exchange of fire while as search operation is on in the area. Earlier an official said that a joint team of Police, army’s 19 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area. He said that as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them which was retaliated triggering an encounter. Penitently this is 13th encounter in South kashmir in month of June in which so far 36 militants have been Killed—(KNO)
