Bridge collapses in Sopore | KNO

Sopore, July 01 (KNO): A three-decade-old bridge in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district collapsed on Wednesday evening. Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that an oldest bridge in Chankhan area of Sopore, collapsed in the evening, adding that the debris of the bridge fell into the river Jehlum. Sources said the bridge was closed for the public in the year 2019 after it developed cracks and posed threat to the lives of commuters.
