ACB files chargesheet against two Budgam residents | KNO

Srinagar, July 03 (KNO): Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday produced a chargesheet against the two Budgam residents for their alleged illegal appointments in the education department. According to a statement issued to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the officials said that ACB produced Chargesheet in the case vide FIR number 07/2014 P/S VOK (now ACB), under section 5(1) d r/w 5(2) P.C Act. Svt.2006, 120-B, 420, 468, 471/RPC, against Gulzar Ahmad Mir, son of Ali Mohamed Mir of Bundgam, Tehsil Beerwa, Budgam and Abdul Hamid Dar, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Dar of Russo Beerwah Budgam, in the Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Srinagar. The instant case was registered by ACB on the allegations that two of the employees of Education Department Budgam namely Gulzar Ahmad Mir and Abdul Hamid Dar, were working in education department without formal appointment orders and their service record has been fraudulently and illegally constructed and attested by the then Chief Education Officer Budgam. The statement said that the investigation found that the two accused individuals have manipulated their appointment orders/ service records under SRO 43 in connivance with the then CEO Budgam and continued as illegal appointees during the year 2011. “The accused Gulzar Ahmad Mir remained on illegal pay rolls of Education Department from 01/2011 to 9/2011, the accused Abdul Hamid Dar remained on illegal pay rolls of the Education Department from 05/2011 to 09/2011. Both the accused persons were presented before the Special Judge Anti-Corruption Srinagar, for further legal action while as the then Chief Education Officer Budgam has already expired,” ACB said —(KNO)
