Cops risk lives to save boy from drowning in Bandipora | KNO

Bandipora, Aug 05 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir policemen deployed in District Police Line (DPL) Bandipora risked their lives and rescued a boy from drowning in the district. “Yesterday two boys from Bandipora drowned in Madhumati stream in the afternoon. After hearing the cries from the crowd, the policemen deployed in DPL Bandipora rushed to the spot. The cops dived into deep waters to successfully rescue one boy and sent him to the hospital but unfortunately another boy couldn't be saved,” police officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) They said Constable Fayaz Ahmad immediately dived in gushing waters to rescue one boy. He was assisted by Constable Jahangir Ahmad and follower Tahir bhat of DPL Bandipora. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bandipora Rahul Malik in order to encourage their courageous and brave efforts by risking their own lives rewarded the police officials with cash prize—(KNO)
