6th suicide case in last 8 days in Kashmir division

Anantnag, Aug 08 (KNO): A 21-year old youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in Utrasoo area of south Kashmir's Anantnag district on Saturday becoming sixth suicide victim in the month of August in Kashmir Valley. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the youth (name withheld) from Kandaji Brariangan hanged himself at his home this morning and he died on the spot. The official said that it was not immediately known as to why the youth took this extreme step. "Police have registered a case and initiated proceedings in this regard," he said. As per details available with KNO in the last 8 days, six persons including five teenagers ended their lives by allegedly committing suicide in Kashmir Division—(KNO)
