COVID claims seven more lives in J&K, toll 492 | KNO

Srinagar, Aug 11 (KNO): COVID-19 on Tuesday claimed seven more lives in Jammu and Kashmir, thus taking the toll of total deaths related to COVID-19 to 492 in the Union Territory. Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that seven patients who died include a 65-year-old woman from Pattan Baramulla, a 68-year-old man from Raj Bagh Srinagar, a 45-year-old woman from Halmatpora Kupwara, a 45-year-old man from Ashmuji Kulgam, a 45-year-old man from Kral Gund Kupwara, a 57-year-old male from Pacca Danga Jammu and a 62-year-old woman from Resham Nagar Jammu. An official from SKIMS said that a 45-year-old woman from Halmatpora Kupwara who was admitted on 05 August died on Tuesday. He added that a 45-year-old man from Chek Ashmuji Kulgam who was admitted on 27 July also died on Tuesday. An official from SHMS said that a 65-year-old woman from Mirgund Pattan who was admitted on 05 August with bilateral Pneumonia and diabetes, died on Monday late night. He added that a 68-year-old man from Raj Bagh Srinagar who was admitted on 31 July with bilateral Pneumonia, died on Tuesday. He further added that a 45-year-old man from Kral Gund Kupwara who was admitted with diabetes and other ailments died hours after he was admitted on Tuesday. An official from GMC Jammu told KNO that a 57-year-old male from Pacca Danga Jammu and a 62-year-old woman from Resham Nagar died on Tuesday. He said that woman suffering from Hypertension, diabetes, anemia and respiratory distress was admitted on August 09 while as the man from Pacca Danga Jammu was tested positive after his death. With seven more deaths, the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 492, including 455 from Kashmir division and 37 from Jammu division—(KNO)
