Intense clashes between protesters and government forces erupted near gunfight sites in south Kashmir’s Shopian district where two gunfights between militants and forces are underway Sunday.
Gunfight raged at Dragad area of Sugan and Kachdora villages of Shopian, official sources said. Hundreds of protesters assembled and pelted stones on forces who retaliated with tear smoke shelling and pellet firing at both Kachdora and Draged.
Earlier army said that a militant has been killed at Draged village during the gunfight.
