SRINAGAR November 29 (KNO) : Renowned Political Social and youth Activist Syed Aijaz Kashani today accused the government of failing to provide people with basic amenities.Adressing youth at Srinagar today he said, “People are facing immense hardships in harsh winters. Government is harassing people for raising their voice against non availability of water,electricity and ration in the ongoing Islamic month Rabi-ul-Awwal ” He said that perception is being created that people aren’t ready to pay electricity dues. “It is not true. When people of Kashmir can pay millions and billions to cellular companies, why won’t they pay electricity dues? But when the PDD isn’t providing the power supply, how can people pay dues,” he asked. Syed Aijaz Kashani said Government has been making tall claims that they would address the basic requirements of the public but unfortunately nothing is had be done so far.He warned government saying that as the citizen of state will not going to see people suffer for want of basic amenities. “There is shortage of essential commodities, including gas, kerosene oil and other amenities. Erratic power supply has added to woes of people,” he added.(KNO)
