Srinagar, Jan 17 (KNO): Kashmir observed Shab-e-Meraj with religious fervour, as the historic Hazratbal Shrine witnessed one of the largest congregations on Friday night. According to the details available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) hundreds of devotees thronged Hazratbal Shrine, which houses the holy relic of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) last night. The holy night was marked by uninterrupted prayers and heartfelt supplications that filled the shrine’s courtyard with spiritual energy. “This night and day fill my heart with peace. Being here with my family, offering prayers, I feel as if the Prophet’s blessings surround us,” Sana Bano, 62, from Nishat told KNO. Ghulam Rasool, 65, from Pulwama, said, “Every year, this day reminds us of unity, devotion and the mercy of the Prophet (SAW). The prayers and recitations strengthen our faith like nothing else.” Officials and volunteers ensured smooth crowd management, water stations, medical assistance and proper lighting, allowing devotees to focus entirely on their spiritual experience. Across the Valley, households and other shrines also hosted prayers, recitations and night-long gatherings, echoing the devotion of Hazratbal far beyond its gates—(KNO)
