Srinagar, February 14 (KNO) : Students who were declared fail in yesterday declared eleventh class results Thursday vandalised property at Board of School Education’s office at Bemina and raised pro Zakir Moosa slogans. According to officials students assembled inside the premises and raised sloganeering demanding they be declared successful in the results. "They vandalized property and even after trying to reason them out failed as they resorted to hooliganism," the officials told KNO. Eye witnesses said that student created ruckus at the office and raised Pro Zakir Moosa, Pro Daesh slogans. He said that they are accusing authorities of 'playing with their careers by declaring them failed in exams'. “We tried to reason them out that it's a process and there is no need to smell conspiracies into it," he said, adding that the protesting students did not listen to officials and resorted to ruckus in the office. They broke window panes by throwing stones and clashed with officials. A protesting student told KNO that the authorities have resorted to wrong marking. "Some of the students have good marks but have been declared fail while some with low marks are shown as passed. We protested against their callous attitude towards us," he said. An officials at the Board office told KNO that they are ready to listen to any issue their might be but they should follow the procedure saying that 'do they want us to say OK you are pass and they go home'. “This is not the way, they should understand this," he said. "One lady told me that she has sacrificed so much for his son and the result has shocked them. How is it our fault that he failed in exams," the officials said. Board officials said that if the students have grievances they should come to officials and follow the procedure. “If any body has any grievance they should approach us but resorting to hooliganism and vandalizing property which belongs to them is not the way,” he said.(KNO)
