Two militant associates arrested in Sopore | KNO

Sopore, Apr 03 (KNO): Security forces Friday claimed to have apprehended two militant associates from Sopore in north Kashmir's Baramulla district along with huge arms and ammunition. According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), an official said a joint naka was laid by by SOG JKP, Army's 22 RR and 179 BN CRPF near Sidiq Colony Sopore during which two militant associates were apprehend along with arms and ammunition. He said after specific inputs about the movement of two militant associates a joint naka was laid to track their movement and were intercepted near Sidiq Colony Sopore. Two local militant associates were arrested in the area during a naka checking, he said. Meanwhile, police in its statement said two local militant associates were apprehended along with arms and ammunition. The recoveries made as per the statement are, one Pistol, one Pistol Magazine, Pistol Rounds 5, UBGL launcher one, and two UBGL Grenades. The arrested duo were identified as, Waseem Ahmad Gojri son of Ghulam Mohiuddin and junaid Rashid Ganie son of Abdul Rashid both the resident of Noorbagh, Sopore, police said. In this regard Sopore police has registered a case FIR number, 61/20 U/S 7/25 A act 4/5 Explosive substance Act 18,20,23 ULA(P) at police station Sopore—(KNO)
