Srinagar, Apr 12 (KNO): Demanding police to speed up investigation into the missing case, the family of a 40-year-old man from Chattrahama, Hazratbal on Monday held a protest to seek whereabouts about their ward.
It has been an agonizing wait for the family members of Fayaz Ahmad Najar, who is missing since March 24, 2021. The family alleged that police have failed to trace their missing son and demands a thorough probe into his ‘disappearance’.
The father of the missing person, who along with his other family members, relatives and neighbours according to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) held a protest at press enclave, alleged that police despite giving assurances had miserably failed to locate their son.
Ghulam Ahmad Najar said that his son went to matrimonial home after receiving a call from his wife on March 24.
"However, sixteen days have passed, there are no traces of him. Although my son lives separately his wife used to fight with him on petty issues," Najar said.
Najar said on March 24, he received a call from her wife who asked him to reach her parental home urgently with some money and her mobile phone as their son was not feeling well.
“My daughter-in-law recently called one of my neighbours and asked him whether Fayaz reached home as he left his matrimonial home 16 days ago. We also filed missing complaints at Rajbagh and Zakura police stations, but police have not been able to trace him as of now,” he said—(KNO)
