Various deputations call on Minister, apprise him of their problems

SRINAGAR, MAY 03 (KNO) : Minister for Agriculture Production, Mohammad Khalil Band Thursday called for introducing the latest technology in all productive sectors like agriculture and sericulture with an aim to improve the socio-economic conditions of the farming community.

He said farming is the key source to ensure the economic growth of the State in general and farming community in particular. This was stated by the Minister today while interacting with the deputation of Agriculture Employees Association by its State President Sajad Khawaja who called on him here.

The deputation projected various demands including conducting of DPC of non-gazetted cadre, removal of pay anomalies, imparting of basic agriculture training course and other related issues. Other deputations including Centaur Lake View Hotel Employees Association led by Mohammad Shafi Dar also met the Minister and apprised him of their demands.

The Minister gave them a patient hearing and assured them that their genuine demands will be looked into. He also assured the Centaur Lake View Hotel Employees Association that the issues raised by them with regard to the problems being faced by the employees and other issues related to the hotel will be taken up with the concerned on priority.
