Srinagar (KNO) : Dukhtaran-e-Millat on Friday said that announcing of the so-called ceasefire by Indian authorities makes no sense while India continues to occupy Kashmir illegally. In a statement, DeM spokesperson Rifat Fatima said that it was nothing but a drama and urged people not to be fooled by these sinister Indian tactics. She said that since the day India landed in Kashmir in 1947, its forces are at war with people here and have murdered millions of Kashmiris so far while the resistance movement continues.

“The way innocent people were murdered in cold blood in the past few months by these occupying forces, India is now enacting this ceasefire drama to hoodwink the international community,” she added. Rifat said that every nook and corner of the valley tells a tale of Indian occupation and its oppression. “Indian forces have a finger on the trigger of their guns while they roam around in Kashmir and their masters tell the world that there is a ceasefire in Kashmir. This is nothing but drama,” she added.

“India has not only declared a war against the Mujahideen but against the common people here. The presence of thousands of innocent Kashmiris in Indian jails is a live example of this war on the people,” she added. Rifat said that people should not get distracted by such dramas and should continue their struggle against this ugly and illegal Indian occupation. Meanwhile, Rifat also greeted people over the coming of the holy and the blessed month of Ramadan.

“In this blessed month we appeal the Muslims to pray for their fellow brothers and sisters in general and hold special prayers for freedom of Kashmir and Palestine from the Hindus and the Zionists respectively,” she added. She also appealed people to pray for the release of thousands of innocent Kashmiri men, women and children who have been illegally detained by the Indian occupational forces in jails across JK and India.
