A defense official said that constable Tapan Mondal was seriously injured after Pakistan Rangers opened “unprovoked” fire on a BSF patrol in Samba sector which was retaliated by BSF. The injured trooper was shifted to a hospital, however he succumbed to his injuries, the official said.
