Flights resume at Srinagar airport after attack on BSF camp | KNO

Some flights resumed following the shutting down of Srinagar airport after a militant attack on a nearby Border Security Force (BSF) camp in Humhama area of Budgam in central Kashmir on Tuesday.

Director General of Police (DGP) S P Vaid said that Indigo and AirAsia flights took off from the airport.

Earlier, many morning flights to and from Srinagar airport were cancelled in view of militant attack on the BSF camp.

Two militants were killed and four security personnel injured in the attack that took place at the 182 battalion camp in Humhama took place at 4.30 a.m. 

As the militants entered the camp's administrative block, they were surrounded by the forces, according to the police.
