JAMMU & KASHMIR Forest employee held with Brown sugar in Baramulla: Police | KNO Published 320 weeks ago on April 28, 2019 By KashmirNewsObserver Baramulla April 28 (KNO) : Renowned drug peddler arrested at Akbar Chowk by Baramulla police following an action against those involved in drug peddling in North Kashmir. One person identified Nasir Ahmad Shiekh as son of Gh Qadir Shiekh resident of Amagrah Sopore worked as was working in forest guard was arrested at Akbar Chowk Baramulla Crossing for the drug supply offences. He has been taken to Police Station Baramulla where he remains in custody. Officers at the Crossing have seized 60 grms of brown sugar like substance in a polythene bag was recovered from his possession. In this regard Case FIR. No. 60/2019 U/S 8/21 NDPS has been registered in PS Baramulla and investigation taken up. An official in forest department told KNO that Nisar Ahmad Sheikh is working as watcher in the department. Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug paddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
