19th November, 2017 (KNO) : Today Janata Dal United State President Jammu and Kashmir G.M Shah (Shaheen) showing deep concern over the serious concerns of peace in valley and unemployment youth. Shaheen said Kashmir is the biggest concern for the Indian sub-continent today. In this piece, we are not going to discuss its history or political scenario. In Kashmir valley where people are eagerly waiting for peace to return because people of Kashmir are always wants to peace in the valley. No government until now has been able to build a serious platform for the Kashmir issue. Kashmir is a political problem that needs to be tackled in a political way. Tremendous blow to the educational system in Kashmir can only be corrected by peace. Shaheen said a peaceful solution of the Kashmir issue unleash immense prosperity and economic benefits for Jammu and Kashmir. Our party believes that every party must put forward serious effort to resolve the conflict. For peace, many barriers and obstacles will have to be overcome and if anybody tries to disturb the peace in valley are the terrorist. There is a need to take the bull by its horns and finding a way out for bringing in a permanent peace in the state. Shaheen also said Kashmir is facing a typical dichotomy in relation to employment especially our young generation. According to reports almost a million youth are without any employment. A large number of these are highly “educated” or in other words possess umpteen degrees but no skills. In fact, acquiring degrees has become an obsession in Kashmir these days. Traditionally, Kashmiris have been very skilled craftsmen not only in regard to the world famous handicrafts but in regard to all other skills like carpentry, masonry and so on. The heritage buildings and historical monuments are a proof of the skills Kashmiris have possessed from the earliest times. Unfortunately, the worst misfortune of Kashmir in recent times has been its confused leaders. The first requirement is to achieve self-sufficiency and independence in every sphere of living. The worst thing is that people are being made to believe that the government which they claim to be an installed one is expected to do everything. Shaheen said that, there is an urgent need for the State government to take the initiative to instill respect for vocational jobs as also to restore the dignity of the manual unemployment youth. The state government must to take a sincere initiative in regard to unemployment youth and engage our youth in various jobs in government sector and as well as in private sectors. State government also gives exposure to the private sector, he said (KNO)
