JAMMU & KASHMIR Government forces conduct CASO in Bandipora's Sumbal, Searches underway | KNO REPRESENTATION PHOTO Published 303 weeks ago on July 19, 2019 By KashmirNewsObserver Bandipora, July 19 (KNO): Government forces Friday evening launched a cordon-and-search operation in Asham, Sumbal area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district. Official sources told KNO that a joint team of Government forces including Army’s 13RR, Special Operation Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police and paramilitary CRPF laid a siege to Asham village of district. Locals told KNO that door to door searches were carried in the village and all the entry and exit points of the village have been sealed as well. An official while confirming to KNO said the CASO was launched following inputs about the movement of some militants. The operation was going on when the reports last came in.
