The official said, a detailed ward-wise roster of drivers and vehicles was also prepared and published for public convenience across the media of print and electronic as well. “This was a door-to-door service aimed at maintaining hygiene during the festival. The response from the public was good,” the official added. Earlier, the SMC had earlier appealed to citizens not to dump waste in open spaces or drains and had set up 24x7 control rooms to register complaints and requests.
