Srinagar, April 18 (KNO) : Awami National Conference president Khalida Shah on Thursday said that people of Jammu and Kashmir will be forced to period of slavery if they do not stand united. "If people do not understand that this is a crucial movement that our rights have been snatched and this is not a time to fight between each other," she said after coming out from the polling booth where she exercised the franchise. According to Khalida, political parties should shun the differences over petty issues. “If politicians do not understand that we have perished under oppression and our young ones are being killed, it will be unfortunate," Khalida told KNO. She said that the killing should stop and all the citizens of J&K should unite. “We have lived in times were we were subjugated by empires and sultanates and if we do not stand together, those times will return,” she said. She urged all the political parties to join hands and struggle united to fight the attacks on the identity of Jammu and Kashmir. "We are losing gains made by Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah," she said, adding that she has time and again urged all the people including National Conference to shun their difference. “It’s not time of bickering but to stand united and fight together,” Khalida Shah said.(KNO)
