Machil encounter: Arms, anmo, Rs 50,000 indian currency recovered, Ops on | KNO

Kupwara, Nov 08 (KNO): In the major infiltration bid foiled in the Machil sector of Kupwara district the Army late Sunday evening claimed to have recovered a huge quantity of warlike stores and Rs 50,000 Indian currency and a radio set from the encounter site. Defence sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that a huge quantity of warlike store that includes, 2 AK with 2 Magazines and 60 rounds, Pistol 1 with 2 magazines and 29 rounds besides a radio set. They said that the recovery from slain militants includes Ra 50,000 Indian currency along with administrative stores. However, they said the joint operation is in progress in the machil sector. It may be recalled that in the ongoing operation, three infiltrators and Army men have been killed while two have got injuries besides a constable of BSF got killed in the initial exchange of gunfire. The total death toll in the ongoing gunfight has mounted to seven with the killing of two more militants late this afternoon—(KNO)
