A police official in a statement issued to news agency GNS said that police have “identified the killers behind yesterday's murder” of BJP youth president Gowher Bhat in Shopian. “The militants involved were identified as Hamas of Pakistan, Umer Nazir of Malikgund (both from LeT) and Ishfaq Thoker of Paderpora and Zubair Turay of Shopian (both from Hizb). Police said that a case under FIR number 277/2017 under section 302, 34 RPC stands registered in Police station Shopian and investigation is going on.
