National Level Test for Earth Science Olympiad held at Bhaderwah Campus | KNO

BHADERWAH ,JAN 21 (KNO) : The Geological Society of India conducted National level test for the first time at Bhaderwah Campus of Jammu University here today to select students to attend a Training Camp in Earth Sciences during the summer of 2018. Students will be finally chosen from among the Training Camp participants who will represent India at the International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO) .The Earth Science Olympiad Programme will follow a four-stage procedure which included National Level Entrance Test (ET),Training Camp and the Indian National Earth Science Olympiad (INESO),Pre-Departure Training Camp and Participation in the International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO). The test was supervised by renowned geologist and Rector Bhaderwah campus Prof G M Bhat who while talking to this media person informed that the Geological Society of India is conducting an objective-type entrance test (ET) in 75 centers all over the India to select about 20 students to attend a training camp in earth sciences during the summer of May 2018. Four students will be finally chosen from among the training camp participants who will represent India at the International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO), Thailand . He also said it is for the first time that center is established at Bhaderwah Campus of Jammu University . (KNO)
