JKSSB cancels JE electrical exams | KNO

Srinagar, Aug 24 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) Sunday cancelled OMR based examination for the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical) that was slated to be conducted today. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), JKSSB in an order said that the OMR based written examination for the posts of Junior Engineer (Electrical, Power Development Department was scheduled to be conducted on 24.08.2025 from 11:00 AM at 35 examination venues in Jammu and Srinagar Districts of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The board however said that due to weather-related exigencies, the examination timings were rescheduled from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. “The examination was successfully conducted at 34 venues, but could not be conducted at one venue,” it reads. “In view of the above, it has been decided by the Board to cancel the OMR Based Examination for the posts of Junior Engineer (Electrical), Power Development Department conducted on 24.08.2025 and shall be conducted afresh,” JKSSB said. It also said that the fresh dates for the conduct of the said examination shall be notified separately. Pertinently, a video purportedly showing the question paper of the JE electrical post getting leaked before the culmination of exams surfaced on social media that triggered protest in one of the examination centres—(KNO)
