An old school building was completely gutted in a fire mishap at Salamabad Uri in North Kashmir's Baramulla District on Friday morning.
According to reports a massive fire broke out around 6:00 am at old high school building in Salamabad area of Uri triggering panic in the locality. However, Fire tenders were pressed into service to douse off the fire which was later brought under control with help of locals but couldn't save the three rooms of old school building which gutted completely in the mishap.
The three room of old school building including Office, Laboratory and Computer lab were gutted completely in the fire mishap, while the exact figure of loss is yet to be ascertained. Meanwhile Police when contacted told the cause of fire is yet to be ascertained. It is pertinent to mention here that earlier in the week four residential houses including many cows and goats were gutted in a fire mishap at upper reaches of Uri.
