Srinagar, February 27 (KNO) : Terming NIA raid on its incarcerated chief, Shabir Shah’s residence, as ‘shameful’, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) Wednesday said that Investigation Agency sleuths took away Tab and Sim cards of the daughters of Shabir Shah. “The NIA raided the house of Shabir Shah yesterday and searched there for hours together,” the JKDFP Spokesperson said while condemning the NIA act as per a statement issued to KNO, saying that Shabir Shah is imprisoned in Tihar jail, Delhi under a decade old fake and fabricated case from July 2017. “His family is in Delhi since last one and a half months. Even there was not a single family member present at Shabir Shah’s house, the NIA men barged in and conducted the searches to jumble and scramble everything. The NIA men damaged everything and later went away with some Sim cards, a Tab besides other little immaterial things,” he said. Terming NIA raid on incarcerated Shabir Shah’s house as ‘frustration of the Government’, JKDFP said that New Delhi is using its institutions against its political opponents. “Even though these political opponents are in jails and are seriously ill, even then New Delhi is continuously trying to break their political will. If the Government thinks they will succeed in breaking the will and resolve of Shabir Shah by such cheap means, they are mistaken,” he added.(KNO)
