PDD issues bills full of errors, consumers fume | KNO

Any consumer having issues with the bills, must approach concerned AEE: CE PDD

Srinagar, Aug 19 (KNO): The consumers of Power Development department (PDD) here have expressed resentment against the department for issuing monthly bills full of errors leaving the consumers fuming. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a PDD consumer from Achnambal, Zafran Colony said that although he has completed all the previous dues on time, but suddenly he received a bill of Rs 16,923 for the months of June and July, thus leaving him in an utter shock. “It is unfortunate that the PDD is issuing bills full of errors to its customers in the Valley,” he said, adding that the department is leaving its consumers to lurch. He said he is not the only consumer who has received the incorrect bill, but there are many customers in his area who have received erroneous electricity bills. The consumers here appealed to the department, especially the Chief Engineer to look into the matter and ensure correct bills are distributed among the customers. Meanwhile, Chief Engineer PDD, Aijaz Ahmad Dar told KNO any person who has received the incorrect bill can approach the concerned Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) for rechecking the bills—(KNO)
