Pulwama police continues drive against drug peddlers; 01 arrested, contraband substances recovered | KNO

Continuing its drive against drug menace, Pulwama police raided different places in the district and recovered huge quantity of contraband substances from their residences.

A police team including SHO Pulwama, SHO Rajpora, DO Lassipora headed by DYSP Hqrs Pulwama conducted a number of raids in nook and corner of Pulwama district including Gulshan Abad, Shaltakiya, Rehmoo, Kulpora, Wahipora, Arihal, Deeri, Dangerpora villages. During these raids 71 kilograms of fukki, 33 kilograms of charas and other contraband substances were recovered. One notorious drug peddler was arrested on the spot while the rest are absconding. A man hunt has been launched to nab these drug peddlers.

One drug peddler namely Tariq Ahmad Teli son of Ali Mohammad resident of Rehmoo was arrested with 4 kilograms of charas powder. A case FIR number 66/17 was registered in Police Station Rajpora and investigation was taken up.

71 kilograms of Fukki was recovered from the house of Mohammad Ahsan Sheikh son of Ghulam Ahmad resident of Shaltakiya. A case FIR number 65/17 has been registered in Police Station Rajpora and investigation was taken up.

18 kilograms of charas powder was recovered from Mohammad Jabar Sheikh son of Ghulam Hassan Bhat resident of Kulpora. A case FIR number 314/17 has been registered in Police Station Pulwama.

11 kilograms of charas powder was recovered from the house of notorious smuggler Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Wahipora. A case FIR number 315/17 was registered in Police Station Pulwama.

Bung Putri (raw material of Charas), a psychotropic substance, was recovered from the house of Abdul Ahad Wani son of Sabir Wani resident of Arihal. A case FIR number 316/17 was registered in Police Station Pulwama.

05 kilograms of psychotropic substance was  recovered from the house of Rayees Ahmad Mir son of Ghulam Ahmad resident Kralpora Arihal. A case FIR number 317/17 was registered in Police Station Pulwama.

SSP Pulwama has expressed his thanks to general public of these areas especially youth for extending their wholehearted support and cooperation to the police team in eradication of drug menace.
