Srinagar (KNO) :  Doctors Association Kashmir(DAK) President Dr Suhail Naik showed strong resentment over failure of government  in  releasing salary to employees working on Hospital Development Fund (HDF). Dr Naik expressed displeasure over the delay in releasing of their pending salaries. He further said that these employees are facing a tough times as nearly 10000 workers across J&K are without the salary from the past many months. “It’s shameful state of affairs and highly regrettable that our colleagues working on  HDF  have not received a penny from last many months and   unfortunate part is that the state government is in deep slumber and are least bothered about the miseries faced by these employees” added Dr Naik. “They have no other source of income as a result of which their families are suffering.  Their children have been expelled from the schools due to the nonpayment of fees” Dr Suhail Naik further added. “Today HDF employees are backbone of health sector and  health institutions and we understand their hard work and hardships faced by them,I urge the higher authorities of the health department to immediately release all the pending salaries so that employees have a sigh of relief” said Dr Naik. Meanwhile DAK president Dr Suhail Naik urged the state government to fulfill the promises of regularization of HDF employees which was also acknowledged by Hon’ble Finance Minister in the recent past. The state government must come with  road map  with a time frame  about regularizing these employees working on HDF. They have been pleading their cases for regularization with the government for the last many years, but the authorities concerned continue to ignore their genuine demands,” Dr Naik said DAK appeals  to the government to consider their cases for regularization on pattern of daily wagers and other adhoc appointees of the state (KNO)
