Seminar on Human Rights organized at Majalta | KNO

JAMMU, Apr 20 (KNO) : A seminar on the theme ‘Human Rights and its awareness and protection’ has been organized in the college campus which was started with the inaugural address by Principal Prof. Kusam Gupta. Kusam while speaking on the occasion emphasized on the need about human right awareness among masses. She also stressed upon the need of organizing such events in the future.

Prof. C.L Shivgotra spoke in length about the theme and highlighted its importance particularly in the country like India which is host to multilingual, multicultural, multi-religious society. Moreover being a developing country it requires strong awareness about human values, human rights and human duties. Prof. Dabgotra also highlighted her views by making a reference to its historical importance and as well as in present scenario. Students of the college expressed their views about the theme by making best use of the opportunity provided by this platform. Vote of thanks was presented by Dr Mool Raj. Dr Asha Singh, Prof.

Ramesh Chander, Prof. Upasana Kumari, Prof Bandana Chib, Prof. Jyoti Bala and Prof Shallu Balwal were also present on the occasion.
