Snow clearance operation launched on Bhaderwah Chamba road | KNO

BHADERWAH,MAR 29 (KNO) : A massive snow clearance operation has been launched to restore traffic on inter state Bhaderwah Chamba road , connecting Jammu and Kashmir directly with Himichal Pradesh .

No vehicle will be allowed from opposite direction under any circumstances, Executive Engineer,Bhaderwah Er Bashir Ahmed Khanday said .

He said the inter state Bhaderwah -Chamba road has been closed for winter months due to accumulation of snow and slippery road condition, particularly between Padri and Chamba .He informed that R&B department has pressed into service sophisticated machines and men on work to clear snow from Padri towards Chamba side. There are more than five feet of snow accumulated at several places between tourist destination Padri to Chamba , he added.(KNO)
