Top officials meet in Kishtwar, to review security situation ahead of LS polls | KNO

Kishtwar, April 16 (KNO): Top officials including of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Border Security Forces (BSF) are going to review the situation in trouble hit Kishtwar district, where a RSS man along with his security guard were killed recently, for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. The curfew was imposed in Kisthwar for seven consecutive days and only today it was lifted by the authorities following Chanderkant Sharma and his PSO’s killing in the premises of Kishtwar hospital. Officials told KNO that Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh along with Inspector General (IG) Border Security Force (BSF), Inspector General (IG) Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and other top officials today left for Kishtwar district to assess the situation ahead of upcoming LS poll for Doda-Udhampur seat which is scheduled to be held on April 18. “Around 10 am this morning, DGP including both the IGs of BSF and CRPF including top officials of administration left from Technical Airport Jammu to Nava Pachi Badra (Kishtwar) by Chopper to assess the present scenario and to streaming law and orders situation of District Kishtwar,” they said. Sources told KNO, DGP and both the IG's of BSF and CRPF have conducted officials meeting with DC's of Kishtwar and Doda districts. They also reviewed the present situation and took first hand reports from Kishtwar and Doda districts administration. (KNO)
