SSB observes Int’l Yoga Day in Srinagar’s Batamaloo

Srinagar, Jun 21 (KNO): Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) 10 BN Batmaloo in Srinagar observed International Yoga Day 2024. In a statement to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), it said that despite their ongoing security commitments in the valley, the officials/officers of the 10 Bn SSB have embraced yoga as a part of their daily routine, practicing diligently for the past 10 days to be ready for International Yoga Day ‘24. The officials and officers of the unit under the leadership of Commandant, 10 Bn SSB Rohitashwa also participated in the International Yoga Diwas 2024 along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at SKICC in Srinagar. The Commandant highlighted the importance of yoga in the lives of soldiers. “Being away from home, practicing yoga helps our soldiers lead an stress-free, healthy life. It not only enhances physical fitness but also promotes mental clarity and emotional stability," he said. The event witnessed active participation from the soldiers of Coy, platoon & section level of this unit. The commitment to yoga will continue in the future also, for which a yoga-based programme for 02 (two) days for all personnel of this unit has been scheduled by this unit to reflect their dedication to physical and mental well-being. “The celebration of International Yoga Day at the 10 Battalion Headquarters serves as a testament to the power of yoga in fostering a balanced and healthy lifestyle, even in the challenging environment of the valley,” it added—(KNO)
