Srinagar, May 14 (KNO): Aaj Tak, one of the country’s leading Hindi news channels, on Tuesday screened exclusive footage from the Press Club of Kashmir, showcasing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s morale-boosting address to Army soldiers at Adampur airbase in Punjab.
Pertinently, PM Modi yesterday had made surprise visit to the Adampur airbase, which Pakistan claimed had suffered extensive damage during skirmishes last week. PM Modi punctured the Pakistan claim by reaching there and praising the soldiers for their valour and courage.
It was PM Modi’s first address to the soldiers after the successful conduct of “Operation Sindoor” which was carried out to avenge the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that left 26 civilians, mostly tourists dead.
The screening, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) displayed through the window screen of the Press Club in Srinagar, drew the attention of local journalists and passersby alike.
PM Modi’s speech was telecast live. He was seen lauding the bravery and resilience of the soldiers, assuring them of the nation's full support in all their missions.
Simultaneously, Aaj Tak achieved a historic milestone by streaming a live program directly from its Delhi studio onto a large screen set up at the iconic Lal Chowk in Srinagar — just adjacent to the city’s landmark clock tower.
A sizeable number of pedestrians gathered to watch the live discussions unfold, as panelists debated the implications of the recent skirmishes between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
It is for the first time any news channel has streamed a live studio discussion from Delhi at the historic Lal Chowk — a site steeped in political symbolism and often considered a nerve center of Kashmir.
This is a significant achievement for Aaj Tak, not only from a technological standpoint but also as a symbol of media outreach—(KNO)
