Government data, accessed by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), reveals that a total of 26,558 EWS certificates have been issued across the Union Territory. Of these, 24,545 were issued in the Jammu division alone. District-wise figures show Kathua leading with 6,972 certificates, followed by Jammu district with 5,881 and Samba with 4,436. In the Kashmir division, Anantnag recorded the highest number with 483 certificates, followed by Kulgam with 390 and Baramulla with 332.
