Srinagar, Sept 30 (KNO): Senior leader National Conference and MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq on Wednesday congratulated Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather and the Assembly Secretariat for the successful operationalisation of the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) during the Autumn Session of the House.
Speaking on the concluding day of the Autumn Session, Sadiq, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), appreciated the efforts of the Speaker and the Assembly Secretariat in successfully introducing the digital platform for legislative business, describing the initiative as an important step towards making the functioning of the House more accessible and technology-driven.
He said the successful implementation of NeVA would facilitate the availability of legislative business, questions and replies on a single digital platform, enabling members and other stakeholders to access relevant information more conveniently.
Sadiq expressed his appreciation to Speaker Rather for taking the initiative forward and also placed on record his gratitude to the J&K Legislative Assembly Secretariat and all officials involved in the implementation of the project.
“I congratulate the Hon’ble Speaker and the Assembly Secretariat for the successful operationalisation of NeVA. It is a significant step towards digitising the functioning of the House. The availability of questions, replies and other legislative business on the platform will make the proceedings more accessible and transparent,” Sadiq said.
He said the transition towards digital legislative processes would also contribute to the broader objective of a paperless Assembly, while improving accessibility to parliamentary information.
The J&K Assembly has been working on implementation of NeVA as a flagship initiative aimed at modernising legislative processes and enabling paperless functioning.
The Speaker has previously chaired High-Level Apex Committee meetings to review and accelerate the implementation of the project—(KNO)
