Sgr Airport to celebrate ‘Yatri Seva Diwas’ tomorrow | KNO

Srinagar, Sep 16 (KNO): As part of Yatri Seva Diwas, the Officiating Director of Srinagar International Airport, Anil Kumar Gupta, announced on Tuesday that the airport will celebrate the day tomorrow with a host of passenger-focused initiatives aimed at enhancing traveller experience. During a media briefing at the Airport Ceremonial Lounge, Vinod Jadli, DGM Operations, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said the airport, is organizing a special program in line with government guidelines to improve passenger facilitation. Gupta said this year’s celebration will feature cultural programs, quizzes and painting competitions with a patriotic theme, highlighting the spirit of the day. “Passengers arriving at the airport will be welcomed with gestures of hospitality, while health camps, blood donation drives and awareness initiatives will also be organized,” he said. He added that a tree plantation drive will be conducted with participation from local dignitaries and senior citizens. “Photo booths will be installed at strategic locations for travellers to capture memorable moments. Passenger feedback will be collected to further improve airport services and ensure smoother journeys,” Gupta said. He noted that these initiatives reflect AAI’s commitment to passenger comfort, safety, and satisfaction, while strengthening the connection between the airport and the community. He added that the day will also serve as a platform to showcase AAI’s ongoing efforts to make Indian airports inclusive, sustainable and traveller-friendly. It is worth mentioning that Yatri Seva Diwas is an annual initiative by the Airports Authority of India (AAI), celebrated on September 17, to enhance passenger experience and reinforce its commitment to traveler-centric services.
