Sopore Police organises plantation drive at DPL Sopore | KNO

Srinagar, March 20 (KNO) : A plantation drive was held by Sopore police at DPL Sopore. The dignitaries present on the occasion were Forest Conservator North Kashmir Shri Irfan Rasool Wani, SSP Sopore Shri Harmeet Singh Mehta, DySP DAR Shri Gh Mohiudin, DySP PC Sopore Shri Vikram Singh, Assistant Commandant CRPF-177 Shri Manish Kumar, Assistant Commandant SSB-13BN Shri Shakti Singh, DFO Langate Shri Mohammad Ayoub Pandit, DFO Kamraj Shri Mehboob Ali Shah, Range Officer Rafiabad Shri Abdul Qayoom, Range Officer Shri Abdul Majeed SHO Tarzoo Shri Sabzar Ahmad and other police officers from Sopore planted Deodar trees during the drive. About 500 trees mainly Devdar were planted in this drive. SSP Sopore Shri Harmeet Singh Mehta said that the aim of this drive was to make people in general and students in particular aware about the importance of environment and its conservation. SSP also elaborated the importance of plantation. He also highlighted the importance of trees in human life. He also exhorted upon the students to inculcate the habit of planting trees.(KNO)
