Srinagar, Nov 22 (KNO): The district administration Ganderbal on Tuesday directed the concerned authorities to ensure hygiene and cleanliness of Kangan market on priority. An order issued by Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal to Sub Divisional Magistrate, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reads that it has been reported that in main Kangan Market garbage has been piled up in open which makes foul smell and creates in-convenience among the residents as well as to shopkeepers of the market which also gives shabby look of the market. “Since the Kangan Market is the Gateway to Tourist Destination Sonamarg so it needs to ensure the hygiene & cleanliness on priority. In this connection, you are advised to make a detailed plan covering various aspects such as door to door collection, two times market cleaning, logistics support, segregation shed, MRF Center, scientific landfill amongst others to make Kangan Market free from all garbage and also ensure the proper sanitation & cleanliness in & around the Kangan Market,” reads the order. Further, Executive Officer, Municipal Council, Ganderbal & BDO concerned shall provide all assistance to Sub Divisional Magistrate, Kangan in the instant matter, it reads—(KNO)
