Qazigund, May 01 (KNO): Train services on the Banihal-Baramulla section were briefly suspended on Thursday morning after a truck rolled onto the railway track near Qazigund, officials said. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a truck bearing registration number JK02AT-5895 veered off the road and landed on the railway track between Banihal and Qazigund (Hiller section). Railway authorities suspended train operations as a precautionary measure and launched a clearance operation at the site. “Train services were halted early morning after the incident. Machinery was immediately deployed to remove the truck, but due to its heavy weight, additional heavy equipment was brought in to assist,” an official told KNO. After hours of efforts, the track was cleared and train services were subsequently restored. No casualties have been reported in the incident—(KNO)
