Anantnag, Apr 27 (KNO): A vital Achabal-Chittergul road in Anantnag district is in a bad condition since the past many years as locals allege that authorities have been macadamising some patches after years. Locals said that the 22 kilometer Achabal-Chittergul road is a vital road, connecting over 50 villages with district headquarters Anantnag. “The road has been neglected by the authorities even though the locals have complained about it many times,” the local residents said. Locals said that despite connecting various important places like Shangus, Utersoo and Chittergul with rest of the district, authorities due to unknown reasons have not paid any attention to repair the linking road. The locals said they approached the concerned authorities several times with a plea to macadamize the road, “but all in vain as nothing has been done in this regard.” “We want to bring it to the notice of concerned authorities to improve the condition of the road at the earliest so that we don’t have to suffer anymore,” they said—(KNO)
